Water available from natural source, surface as well as under ground is rarely suitable for use and as such calls for treatment. The nature of treatment depends very much on the end use and the available quality if raw water. Base exchange softening is one of the various water treatment processes and application of the same is commonly known as Water Softening Plant. The cylindrical Vertical Pressure Vessel can either be FRP Or MS & MS Rubber Lined. Cation resin in sodium form is used to exchange sodium ions for hardness forming calcium & magnesium, and thus produce soft water. The resin is regenerated with Commercial Common Salt. The pipeline can be Conventional type with Valve OR with Multi-port Valve.
